⚠ Template — review with a legal professional and replace bracketed placeholders before relying on this commercially.
This policy explains what Vantic Tools ("the Service") — a suite of small business tools including the Zone Map, Privacy Policy Generator, and QR Code Generator, operated by [Vantic / your registered legal entity] — collects and how it's used.
1. What we collect
- Account: your chosen username and a securely hashed password. We do not require or collect your email by default.
- Your content: the items you create in the tools — map zones, names, colours and settings; privacy-policy details (business name, website, contact email, the data/third-party options you select); and QR code labels and destination URLs.
- Usage: basic view counts on shared maps, and anonymised analytics (page views) via Vercel Analytics.
- Payments (Pro): handled by Stripe. We store a Stripe customer/subscription ID and your plan status — we never see or store card numbers. If you subscribe, Stripe collects your email for billing.
2. How we use it
To operate the Service: authenticate you, store and render your maps, enforce plan limits, process subscriptions, and improve the product. We do not sell your data.
3. Third parties
- Supabase — database hosting.
- Vercel — application hosting & analytics.
- Stripe — payment processing (Pro only).
- Resend — transactional email (if/when enabled).
- OpenStreetMap, CARTO, Esri, Nominatim — map tiles & address search.
4. Cookies & storage
We use your browser's local storage to keep you signed in and to save map drafts. We don't use third-party advertising cookies.
5. Data retention
Maps persist until you delete them or your account. Guest/data links expire after 30 days. Deleting your account removes your maps from our database.
6. Your rights
You can delete your account and data at any time from account settings. For requests under the Australian Privacy Principles (or GDPR if applicable), contact us.
